Algebra Course Description

Part 1:  Students will understand the use of manipulatives and symbols in order to simplify expressions, and solve equations and inequalities in problem situations. Students will translate among the various representations of functions and gain an understanding of slope and intercepts of linear functions (including the effects of change in parameters) in real-world and mathematical situations.

Part 2: Students will understand that the graphs of quadratic and exponential functions are affected by the parameters of the functions, describe those affects, and solve the quadratic and exponential functions using appropriate methods.
