Welcome to 2014/2015 school year!!  I look forward to helping you, together with your parents, complete a successful and productive year.  Parents, if you have any questions or comments, the best way to contact me is by e-mail.  Please read this information with your parents and return the signed acknowledgement form to me by next class period.   

Required Supplies

  • Pencils  (Pen is UNACCEPTABLE).
  • Loose-leaf paper (<strong normal"="">NO spiral notebook paper).
  • 3-Ring Binder  with 1 divider , labeled (AQR, Algebra 1 or 2)
  • Composition Notebook
  • A box of Kleenex

  Classroom Expectations

  • Be Prepared – Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings, sharpen pencil before the bell rings, and bring ALL necessary materials to class daily (covered books, pencil, paper, binders).
  • Be Respectful – Acceptable standard of behavior is expected at all times.
  • Be Responsible – Take proper care of all equipment and classroom surroundings.
  • Follow ALL school rules – See handbook.

  1. Tests 50%
    • There will be at least three tests per nine-week period.
    • If you are absent on a test day, you will be required to take the test on the day of your return.
    • If you are absent on a review day, you will also be required to take the test on the day of you return as well.
  1. Quizzes 30%
·         There will be a minimum of three quiz grades per nine-week period.

·         If you are absent on a quiz day, your make-up will be the next test.  Your next test grade will replace the quiz you missed. 

  1. Homework/Classwork 20%
·         Homework/Classwork will be assigned and I will grade 5 randomly picked problems, all problems, or not at all. 

·         When you are absent, it is your responsibility to get all of the assignments and class notes you may have missed.  You will be given one extra class day per excused absence to turn in all make-up work.


  • Math Lab is open for tutoring before school, lunch time, and after school. 
  • I am available M-Th before and after school throughout the week.

  • I will provide you with a calculator and if a calculator is missing, it is your responsibility to replace it.
