Schyga, Stefan

Stefan SchygaEducational Back Ground

Stefan Schyga received his Masters Degree in Music Eduction in May of 1991. During his studies he alsotaught the Beginning and Intermediate guitar classes at The University of Texas at El Paso. Teaching these classes and having had problems finding a suitable method for his private studio inspired him to write a new and different guitar method. This new method attempts to teach guitar playing in a more effective and especially more interesting manner.

4 Years ago Stefan switched from the University Level to teach 160 High School students. This made him rethink his teaching method and now it includes tablature instead of just traditional notation amongst many other changes.

The internet makes it possible to have an interactive learning method that with the inclusion of audio and video is almost able to "replace" a traditional style teacher.
