John Poteat Theater Arts
‚ÄčTheatre at Franklin High School-
The Theater program at Franklin offers its students a chance to explore many aspects of the discipline.  An emphasis is placed on developing the potential of young actors by offering them a level of rigor and challenge in the areas of character development, stage movement, script analysis, ensemble work and leadership.  We focus on acting methodologies put forth by noted teachers in the field such as Sanford Meisner, Uta Hagen and Jason Bennett.  Franklin Theatre students also have the opportunity to gain experience in the fields of stagecraft, including lighting design and maintenance, set design and construction, and costuming.
