Fusion tryouts will be March 20-22 in the main campus dance studio. Two routines will be taught the first 2 days from 4:00-5:15. One will be a lyrical/contemporary combination & the other will be a jazz/funk combination. The actual audition will be on the 22nd in front of 3 judges from the El Paso/Las Cruces dance community. Sponsors: Vanessa Eveler vkeveler@episd.org- Vanessa Eveler teaches Dance I, II, III/IV and Fusion Dance Ensemble. Ms. Eveler graduated from Franklin High School in 1997 and was in Fusion all 4 years she was a student here. She tied with another Fusion member for the first Dancer of the Year award in 1996. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Health from The University of Texas at El Paso. Ms. Eveler is certified to teach in 4 areas: General Elementary (1-8), Elementary Health (1-8), Secondary Health (6-12) and Secondary Dance (6-12). The majority of her dance training comes from Barbara Driscoll’s School of Ballet, Dance Interpretations, International Dance Theater, Franklin High School, and New Mexico State University. She was a dancer in Turley's Texas Twisters tap & clogging company from 1993 to 1997 and a principal dancer in Mackenzie Rosales Dance & Company from May 2006 to November 2007. She currently takes dance classes in all genres at various local studtios and attends workshops around the country whenever the opportunity arises. Ms. Eveler has a strong background in Jazz, Tap, Modern/Contemporary, and Clogging. She has been teaching at Franklin since August 2004.

Meetings:Fusion meets during 4th period through 5:00 on purple days. When preparing for the spring recital, they also rehearse on silver days from 4:00-5:00.
